Watch the Draft: Live View Is Here

Challenge Mode has a new spectator seat.

If you finish your draft while your opponent is still playing, you can now stay on the Challenge page and watch their roster come together. Picks appear, positions fill, spins tick down, and head-to-head player deltas change as the draft unfolds.

It is called Live View, and it turns the old waiting screen into part of the game.

Your lineup may be finished, but the Challenge is still happening. Now you can watch the ending.

Finish first? Stick around

Previously, finishing first meant reaching a holding screen. You knew your opponent was still drafting, but the next interesting thing you could see was the final result.

Now that same page becomes a window into the other side of the matchup.

If the opponent has already started, Live View opens at their current point in the draft. If they are four picks in, you see four picks. If they have not started yet, the page waits with you and recognizes when they begin. There is nothing special to turn on.

You can also enter from the Challenge Lobby. Once your lineup is complete and your opponent is still drafting, the usual action changes to Watch.

Watch the roster take shape

The fun is in seeing individual decisions become a lineup.

A shortstop pick can suddenly create a position comparison. The first starting pitcher can reveal which side has the early edge on the mound. A run of passed rounds can leave only a few spins between the drafter and a difficult final slot.

You can switch between the lineup and round-by-round views while you watch. A small Live View indicator shows that the page is following the draft, and a blue flash calls attention to a newly received pick.

There is no need to refresh, and there is no need for both players to begin at the same time. Challenge Mode is still asynchronous. The first finisher simply has something better to do while the second player completes the same shared draft.

Hey, they can see my picks?

Yep. They were already going to see every pick when the Challenge ended.

Live View lets them see your saved picks as you make them, but only after they have submitted their own lineup. Their draft is locked, so they cannot change a pick, move a player, or spend a spin based on what they see. If you are still drafting, you cannot use Live View to peek at their completed lineup.

The normal result is still the finish

Once the opponent submits, Live View steps aside. The regular completed Challenge appears with the same lineups, ratings, scoring, records, and result it always would have shown.

Nothing about the simulation or the rules has changed. This is simply a more enjoyable way to reach the result.

The next time you finish a Challenge first, look for Watch in the Active Challenges list—or just stay on the result page. Your opponent still has a roster to build, and now you have a front-row seat.
